Maura Gates

Maura Gates MS, ATC

Maura has always participated in competitive sports, so her ideal job would have been to incorporated athletics into her career!

After becoming a Athletic Trainer-Certified she obtained her Masters in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation.  Prior to starting a family, Maura worked for  Illinois Sports Medicine, rehabbing athletes in a clinical setting and preventative in the high school setting.  

Fifteen years ago, she began working in the personal training arena which has become her passion.  She loves working with individuals and instructing classes!  In 2004, Maura became certified in Pilates Mat by Body in Balance and since has advanced her certifications and incorporates pilates into her daily programs.

In 2012, Maura began studying with Douglas Heel and received the Be-Activated Certification which enhances athletes performance and reduces injuries.  Maura has networked with other Douglas Heel classmates all over the country and world to find the best solution to incorporate Muscle Activation into personal training, pilates, high school and club sports.  The results have been astounding!
